OPEN QUIZ

open quiz

A quiz competition was organized by the students as a part of the SOFTWARE FREEDOM WEEK-09. It was slightly different from the usual quiz competitions due to the fact that most of questions were from the field of open source technologies. There was a very good response from the student fraternity to this event.

The whole event was totally divided into two parts
The Prelims
The Finals
PRELIMS:
Date: 22/09/2009

It was a team event with two members per team. A total of 32 teams, including teams from other colleges attended this round. Firstly we had a screening round. This round consisted of 25 questions, of which about 50% were based on open source technologies. The top four teams from this round were chosen for the finals. The competition was really cutthroat, with some teams failing to make the cut just by 1 mark.
