Workshop
In support of the JavaFX platform, ‘Software Freedom Week-09’ is offering a seminar and workshop for students interested in Web development and Java programming. The workshop aims at teaching how to use JavaFX for developing rich Internet Applications. It shows how to use the technology to create animations and effects, add multimedia to applications, and incorporate Java software into JavaFX applications.
The workshop will be conducted by Team OpenMinds.
The workshop will also present a brief overview of NetBeans, a free, open-source Integrated Development Environment (IDE) for software developers.
Prerequisites
1. Having knowledge of Java is not mandatory.
2. Knowledge in Object Oriented Programming like C++/Java or OpenGL will have an added advantage.
3. Acquaintance of any Scripting language like HTML, PHP will also help.
4. Acquaintance in any IDE (Integrated Developer Environment) like NetBeans, Eclipse etc.
Rules and regulations
1. For workshop everybody has to register individually.
2. For the contest, a team can be maximum of 2 members.
3. The rules for the contest will be specified on the day of event.
4. The date and venue of the events will be e-mailed to the participants well in advance.
